Northwest breeze, and plenty of sun.  Main lake surface temps 53 degrees.  Back bays were closer to 60 degrees.  Walleye hit in 13 feet of water.

Cold North winds, and cool water temps left the bigger walleyes hard to find.  Rumor has it that the 'Dogs found their fish in a warmer, shallow bay? 

Heads up next week on Fish Lake...High Banks parking lot was all torn up, but may be ready to go by May 28th? If not, common sense will be that we migrate down to the landing by the damn. For now, plan on launching at High Banks.

Pentinen Bros. Defended their 2008 win on Rice, but won’t tell us where they found the sunnies! (Good job boys!)

Great Season Guys! 5 teams in the 700’s! Lot’s of points this year, with a little bit of tightening up due to the 4-fish limit reduction from six.  Most guys seemed to like the change. (Made measuring go a lot easier, and less fish banging around in the box).

The big news tonight was the Master Baiter’s, who moved up from 5th to 3rd, thanks to a nice performance tonight.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Lethan Pentinen and his wife, after she received a tough medical diagnosis.  Make sure you sign Mike’s card, and we will be throwing in some of our extra sub-fees to include with the card.

Welcome to our 10th season. (Can you believe it?)

After our meeting on April 15th, 2008, we voted in some significant changes for this year.

Fish limits have all been changed/reduced from 6 to 4 (except muskies -  2 max).

(This will reduce the number of fish in the livewells, and will speed up scoring.)

A 6 species bonus has been added, and that will be worth 60 points.

Use of camera to verify bonus fish for release has been approved for all nights.

This is to be reserved for bonus sized fish only, and should be done only if you cannot see another      boat that is close enough to verify the fish. 

Finally, to keep up with changing muskie rules each year, we will simply state that any legal muskie is now worth 50 points, regardless of size.  A max of 2 muskies can be scored on a given night.
