i have a built in camera that doesn’t work .. details include !!!???

i have a built in camera on my Sony Vaio PCG-TR1A notebook and when i click on the icon to start it up it doesnt work. heres the story . i went on vacation bringnig my notebook with me. and i left a part of my charger at my cousins house almost 1 year ago and this summer i went back and found the peice and i havent use my notbook in about a year and a half. so when i turned on my computer everything was working but the camera [ motion eye] didnt work anymore. is there a program that can be installed to support my built in camera . or should i o to a shop to fix it . i need opinons . o and when i go on the camera. sometimes i only see the color white . or the color black. and when i close out of it it turns blue and then closes.
